Zones is a module in Muk3D that allows for the creation of 3D dam layers/geometry from a 2D cross section. Once the layers are created, volumes for each material type can be done.
One of the great things about Zones is that once cross section geometry has been defined, it cane be applied to any centerline and you get updated volume calculations quickly.
In Muk3D v2019.2.1 the Zones editor was updated to be a graphical interface, simplifying the task of defining offsets, layers, liners, and filter blankets.
It also allows for cross sections to be imported from Slope/W and CAD files.
In the coming weeks we’ll be posting some tutorials to https://support.muk3d.com showing how to use the new interface.
